Oh Please!

I just heard a story on our local news: to whit--FEMA is hiring a Pennsylvania company to MELT the ice it shipped to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Once there, the ice sat unused in New Orleans. Since then, it has been stored and/ or shipped around the country in trucks that are cooled to keep it frozen. Now the decision has been made to melt it.

The price tag for all this nonsense? $36 million!

As my title says--Oh, please!

Never again wonder what is wrong with the leadership in this country.

Here's my platform (remember my comments about people urging me to run for office)--if elected, I promise to take the ice out of the trucks that are keeping it cool and let . . . it . . . melt . . . on . . . its . . .own. Maybe it can help lower the ambient temperature and solve a tiny bit of the global warming problem.

This is a scream! You are a scream! Darn right. Let it melt on its own. My vote goes to you.

Why am I not surprised by this? That's our leaders for you, the brain trust in action. The scam trust is more like it.
Br-r-r-r!

I can't believe they would do this. What a waste of money...I think I like the sound of President Donna too (of course it would have to be President Aunt Donna)! : )

That is crazy and something that can only happen here in america!

Hi Donna,
I heard that same news story, which also generated a dinner table rant from my lips. And could you believe they've been driving it around in those trucks since Hurrican Katrina? I was hoping they would at least take it somewhere in the U.S. experiencing drought conditions, so all that water wouldn't go to waste.
