Dove at First Sight!

Ok, OK--full disclosure here. The story below is not original to me. In fact, I didn't even find it on the Internet--my daughter did. But it is TOO CUTE for words. In fact, it's a world class AWWWWWW!

---------------

It's a tale straight out of Disney – an abandoned baby monkey, close to death, is revived by the love of a bird.

The 12-week-old macaque was rescued on Neilingding Island, in Goangdong Province, China, after being abandoned by his mother.

Taken to an animal hospital, he was weaned back to physical health but still showed little appetite for life.

It was not until a fellow patient, a white pigeon, took him under her wing and showed him love and affection that he perked up.

Now the two are inseparable, say staff.

Awwwww, and again awwwww. This is too precious and sweet. A man we know bought a horse. Before the deal was closed, he was told that to take the horse he also had to take the rooster. Apparently the horse and a rooster had become inseparable and were a twosome. So, he bought the horse and rooster came home too. I am always amazed at these mismatched unions. But they are sweet none-the-less.

Good story. I sent that one on to my daughter.

Are you ready for another Penn State victory?

Nature is just amazing. If it weren't for the story to go along with it, I would think this was an altered photo! Too cute.

Who would have thunk it? A picture and story to pull at the heartstrings, isn't nature great?

This sweet story reminds me of Psych 20 at university eons ago. I remember hearing that a bunch of babies, well fed and clothed, but not handled, eventually turned their faces to the wall and died. Love is needed by us all.
So glad your story turned out better for the wee monkey.

I looked for you in the crowd at the Penn State game on Saturday...just kidding, since I was watching it on TV in Florida. Buffalo gave them a fight, didn't they. I was really surprised to see them go up in the rankings after that showing.

I hope that Morelli's off week was last week and that he'll be in fine form for Michigan this Saturday.
